I'm Back...With News!

Well hello!

I have returned from a bit of an impromptu blogging hiatus, after a house move (stuff everywhere!), a longer-than-expected wait for internet in my new home, and then a hefty backlog of work to plough through before normal service could resume. Not to mention tricky things like locating the best spots for taking photographs in a new house, finding my photography props and craft materials, and trying to make that pesky wire stretch from the other side of the room so I can finally charge my camera!

Anyway, the world of Miss Beatrix didn't entirely grind to a halt during what I have now named The Period of Chaos. I'm pleased as punch to have been interviewed and have a craft project featured in Homemade with Love magazine this month.

Anna Simmonds is the magazine's new editor and she was so lovely to work with to put this article and project together. If you're starting to feel as Christmassy as I am already the issue is packed with crafty scandi-inspired ideas, so it's well worth snapping up a copy - not least because you can spot some other lovely bloggers in there too, including Adventures and Tea Parties and Claireabellemakes. Congratulations to Anna and her team for giving the mag such a gorgeous new look.

I'm thrilled to have my treacle tin lanterns featured in a thrifty Christmas gift guide in Pretty Nostalgic magazine. It's inspired me to make lots more and fill the garden with them on these cold Autumn nights! You can read my original blog post about them here.

In other news, five more #PostCircle groups have been set off in the last few weeks. I know some of you are waiting patiently to be placed, and I hope to get to that early next week - please bear with me! I could do with finding my desk first...

I'll also be back hosting #creativesunite from this Thursday, so hope lots of you can join me for some Christmas present crafting ('or-it's-too-early-to-think-about-Christmas-so-let's-avoid-it-with-some-nice-crafting... crafting').

Lastly, one of the major problems with moving house was that I ended up not having an oven for much longer than anticipated, and that has meant no button making (boo!) I'm working my way through a pile of custom orders at the moment, and then I'm hoping to get some more stock in my Etsy shop. I'm also busy preparing for a craft fair in Sheffield at the end of the month - details to follow on Facebook.

That's all for now folks - see you for normal blogging service next week!

    1. Thank you! I love those tins because the design means they already look vintage, so they look really effective when made into lanterns, and perhaps even better when they turn a little rusty! x
