Just sharing a few impromptu snaps from a new craft club I attended in Sheffield last week. I met a lovely group of ladies, one of whom, Amy, is in #PostCircle and we'd been chatting via Twitter for weeks (in fact a Twitter chat with Amy is why #PostCircle started!) It was held in the delightfully friendly and cosy pub The Riverside, which is 100% owned by arts charity Point Blank. Very cool.
This was the first meeting so there was lots of crafty chatter as we got to know one another, and I loved that it quickly became apparent that we are all into different crafts, but aren't afraid of launching in and being a bit experimental with our projects! (Mind you, I was being a little boring and working away on my never-ending scarf. No really. The ball of wool never ends).
Such a warm and atmospheric venue teamed with new friends was a welcome treat, as I live quite a way out of Sheffield so don't feel as immersed in its crafty, creative culture as much as I would like. I'm looking forward to the next meeting already.
(We were all being a little camera shy, but you can see much evidence of yummy cake-munching, tea drinking and merry crafty productivity!)
I'm a little quiet on this blog this week, but this is because I am absolutely snowed under with meeting custom button order deadlines, launching more #PostCircle groups (128 members now!), juggling two jobs and working on some techy stuff behind the scenes for this blog, too. You should see the state of my desk! I'll be sending out the first issue of the Miss Beatrix newsletter in the next few days, so if you haven't subscribed yet you'll see a wee box on the right there. I also have some time off over the next couple of weeks, so watch this space for creative endeavours aplenty!

Deleteur craft group looks so cozy and funny.me and my neighbours started a craft group this year too. good times!there is nothing better then great people,yummy cake,tea,and a spot of craft.

Craft is such a huge subject isn't it? If you talk about it with someone who doesn't craft the conversation is over in thirty seconds, but put a group of crafters together and the subjects are endless! x
