Today sees Week 3 in the 'Wearing Stories on Your Sleeve' style board collection.
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland captured my imagination as a child. I loved the idea of Alice tumbling into a whole different world, in much the same way as I loved the Narnia tales, then later, Harry Potter. I've always been so jealous of characters who can just leave our realm and go on wondrous adventures.
My love of this story was twinned with an obsession from childhood and into adulthood with the Disney Adaptation: Alice in Wonderland. Now I'm [supposedly] grown up this Alice fascination has developed into a full blown love of tea and tea parties, Victorian style and an affection for well-meaning eccentric people!
And I'm not alone. From blockbuster movies to croquet seeing a renaissance, and most recently the huge success of the craft book Everything Alice (which is still on my list to own!) ... it seems everyone wants a piece of the fairytale. I don't think I'll ever grow out my love for this story and Alice.
As mentioned in previous weeks, this often involves incorporating some 'Alice' style into my everyday look. So on this week's board are some of my latest findings:
*Dress ~ Asos.com * Necklace ~ http://www.missbohemia.com/ * Ring and Bag ~ http://www.bluefinchboutique.com/ *
* Boots ~ http://www.misslfire.com/ * Bangles ~ StayGoldMaryRose *
What is your favourite childhood classic?
