Wearing Stories on Your Sleeve: Part 1 - Mary Poppins

We all have different ways of expressing our personality and interests through our style. For some this means the clothes we wear, for others it's a loved piece of jewellery, and some choose an image or sentiment through tattoos.

I'm a big fan of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland

I love vintage and vintage style because of my love for history, so this is reflected in the clothes I wear. I also love literature, teapots and wool, so these all play a small part in my style too!

Today marks the first in a series of 5 style mood boards over the next 5 Thursdays, each board centred around style inspiration from a well-loved figure and era from literature. (Don't worry chaps, you'll be getting a board of your own during the series).

Week 1: Mary Poppins

Mary is practically perfect in every way, so you can't very well go wrong! If you're a fan of Edwardian style, this could well be the look for you. Although technically...the film is 1960s...

So perfect, she never had to worry about her skirt flying up in the wind,
as it would for any normal woman.
