You've probably been reading this blog long enough to have noticed that I love designs with quirky, clever phrases (this love does not extend as far as cheesy chatup lines, chaps).
So The Joy of Ex Foundation, created by Sally Beerworth is right up my street. Sally started her business in May 2011. She started writing a novel to make herself laugh while going through a difficult divorce (an inspired way to cope with bad times if ever I heard one!) and then set up a Facebook page to share some of her humorous phrases. Before long she was receiving requests from fans wanting her words on merchandise, and The Joy of Ex Foundation was born. Its aim? To make others smile!
Sally now even puts some of her profits aside in order to help others who get stuck while going through a difficult breakup.
I am the proud owner of one of her bags, and it's certainly had me smiling all week! I've even had people coming up to me when I've been out and about, wanting to know where I got it from. The design below has been featured in UK Vogue, so clearly this is one business that's on its way up and up!

I just love the clever caption on this bag, though I have been carrying books around in mine all week, so I guess that makes me coolly ironic? Yes? Yes? Okay, maybe not.
